Authors and editors of the Intergenerational Education Plan

Ann Katrin Boström

is involved in intergenerational learning from the perspective of theory, practice, implementation and evaluation, within the framework of lifelong learning and social capital, in national, European and international networks. Dr Boström is a researcher at ENCELL, National center for lifelong learning, Director of Education at the Swedish National Agency for Education and member of the editorial board of the Journal of Intergenerational Relationships.

Birgit Breninger

is Head of the Postgraduate Intercultural University Courses, Paris Lodron University of Salzburg,Lecturer at the Communication Studies Department; M.A. in Race and Gender, Postgraduate Research Programme at the School of Humanities, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, U.K.: Graduate Studies (Mag.phil.) in: English and American Studies and Communication Studies at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Austria; Research: Tracking the Cultural Gaze - Eyetracking technology applied to cultural studies Education; Thesis in Cultural Studies and Gender, at the English and American Studies Department, Paris Lodron University, Salzburg, Austria.

Renate Heinisch

is chairperson of the Elternverein Baden-Württemberg e.V., pharmacist, Member of European Parliament 1994-1999, Member of the European Economic and Social Committee since 2002,. She has more than 30 years of experience in lobbying the interest of parents. Moreover she is experienced trainer for parents and teachers.

Stephen McNair

is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (England & Wales).  He has worked for 35 years in adult education and for the last ten years has concentrated on olde people's learning and work. He is currently working on the European Joint Programming Initative "More years: better lives", which is building a Europe wide research agenda on demographic change.

Edeltraud Röbe

is full professor of educational science and used to be head of the department of Pedagogy and Didactics at Elementary and Primary Level at the University of Education of Ludwigsburg (Germany) till the end of 2010. She is trained as a teacher and studied educational science, psychology and sociology. Her topics of research are theory and practice of education, transitions, school achievement, the role of pedagogic institutions.

Bernhard Schmidt-Hertha

is full professor for educational research with a focus on vocational continuing education and on-the-job training at the University of Tuebingen (Germany). He is co-editor of an online-journal, reviewer for the German Research Association and different national and international journals, and member of European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA) steering committee. In 2009 he launched the European Network on Education and Learning of Older Adults (ELOA) which is still active.

Radu Szekely

is Lecturer in Intercultural Communication at Västra Nylands folkhögskola in Karjaa, Finland and has researched and written about cultural diversity policies in the workplace, the need for multicultural skills in education, European citizenship and integration policies for immigrants. Special interests are education (including language training) at the workplace and citizenship and migration issues. Involved in policy-making in the field of immigration and integration in Finland, also chair person since 2007 of a political organisation for immigrants.
